I am a quality-oriented recent graduate with an MSc in Electrical Engineering and a deep knowledge of Electrical codes (NEC, NFPA and ICC ) and documentation, combined with four years of industry and academic experience.

 

As a graduate student at Politecnico di Milano, I mastered reading and interpreting single line drawings, construction drawings and equipment specifications, and hands on experience in AutoCAD.  Experienced in electrical and energy engineering industry, analysis and design of electric systems and renewable energy, ability to read, design, and interpret electrical schematics, single line diagrams, and complex engineering drawings in accordance with NEC standards and requirements. For example, apart from residential and mid level commercial buildings electrical systems design, I was the main electrical engineer in a team who designed electrical plans and conducted inspections for Dilla Stadium in Ethiopia. As a result, I feel confident in my ability to conduct and provide efficient design calculation, equipment selection, layout work for power distribution and lighting systems. I had a the privilege of working in different sectors as an Electrical Engineer, a Research assistant and Assistant Lecturer role, where I learned valuable professional skills such as AutoCAD®, REvit, Power system simulato- PowerWorld and HOMER energy, LabVIEW, Siemens Step 7 -PLC, MATLAB®, Simulink, C++, Java, Printed Circuit Board (PCB) design, Logisim, PSPICE, Multisim, Proteus,  statistical tool-R, Competent with AGi32 lighting and Microsoft Office tools. As a graduate research assistant, I conducted in-depth research on Integration and Optimization of Renewable and Storage systems, which resulted in  publication at mdpi.

In both my academic and professional life, I have been consistently praised as proactive, organized, on time and team oriented by my professors and peers. Whether working academic, extracurricular, or professional projects, I apply proven critical thinking, analytical, and leadership skills, which I hope to leverage into the Electrical Engineering role given.

Besides the academic and professional role inherited, I am a concerned human right activist and active participant in community development and awareness creation activities , and enjoy sport activities such as: Football, Tennis, kayaking, Athletics and Basketball. Besides, I Love travelling and experiencing different cultures.
